Purpose
This Request for Information (RFI) is part of the Andy Hill Cancer Research Endowment (CARE) Fund’s process in identifying the needs, opportunities, and priorities for grantmaking to support cancer research in Washington State. Washington State is one of the largest and strongest life science biotech clusters in the United States, providing a unique environment for innovators, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and companies small businesses. The CARE Fund is seeking information on opportunities to how it might support these innovators, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and companies small businesses to advance research, secure funding and future investments, create jobs, and translate research to clinical practice and health impact. We are particularly interested in learning how the CARE Fund could facilitate cancer research partnerships between small Washington-based companies and academic institutions across the state.
About the CARE Fund
The Washington State Legislature created the Andy Hill Cancer Research Endowment (CARE) Fund in 2015. The CARE Fund makes grants to public and private entities, including commercial entities, to promote cancer research in Washington.
