CARE Fund Holds First Reception in Olympia, WA

On January 30, members of the CARE Fund Board, researchers, legislators and Department of Commerce representatives gathered in Olympia, WA to learn more about the CARE Fund and its support of cancer research in Washington State. Fred Appelbaum, CARE Fund Board Chair, highlighted the innovative research being done by the CARE Fund's Breakthrough Research and Distinguished Researchers grantees. Molly Hill, wife of late state Senator Andy Hill, and Lisa Brown, the Director of Washington's Department of Commerce shared about the impact that cancer research is making for individuals living with cancer.
