Andy Hill Cancer Research Endowment (CARE) Fund, Washington’s cancer research endowment, invests in public and private entities to promote cancer research in Washington. Through research grants and strategic co-funding partnerships, CARE Fund aims to improve health outcomes by advancing transformational research in the prevention and treatment of cancer.

Leverage Washington’s Talent

Increase the value of our public investments by leveraging our state’s existing cancer research facilities and talent, as well as clinical and therapeutic resources.

Support the Best Science

Optimize the use of public funds by giving priority to research utilizing the best science and technology with the greatest potential to improve health outcomes.

Advance Innovation

Advance the biotech, medical device, and health care information technology industries in Washington.

Maximize Investment Impact

Incentivize additional investment by requiring private or other nonstate resources to match public funds.

Serving on the CARE Board gives me the chance to make a difference and honor those touched by cancer by promoting groundbreaking research in Washington. I personally know the impact of this research, and I also know the importance of using our precious time to serve the greater good.
