A Committed Leader

Senator Andy Hill was a dedicated Washington State legislator. After his own battle with cancer, he became a strong advocate for cancer research. He pushed for better outcomes for patients across the state.

Honoring Senator Hill

In 2015, the Washington State Legislature established Cancer Research Endowment (CARE) Fund through Senate Bill 6096, which was signed into law by Governor Jay Inslee. The fund was later renamed Andy Hill CARE Fund in honor of Senator Andy Hill. Senator Hill lost his battle with lung cancer at the age of 54 in 2016. Senator Hill is survived by his wife, Molly, along with their three children, Allie, Charlie and Katie.

Andy Hill CARE Fund is dedicated to carrying on his legacy by promoting cancer research and ensuring access to scientific advancements for all Washingtonians.

A Lasting Contribution to Health and Hope

Senator Hill’s work lives on through CARE Fund. His vision continues to drive collaboration in cancer research and improve health outcomes for all Washington residents.
