Cliff Berkman is a professor of Chemistry at Washington State University and co-founder of Cancer Targeted Technology (CTT), a Seattle-based biotechnology company. He has over 25 years of experience in developing novel enzyme inhibitors for use in detecting tumors and guiding the delivery of chemotherapeutics and therapeutic radionuclides into tumor cells. CTT is focused on utilizing small-molecule enzyme inhibitors as targeting molecules for the delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic agents for cancer. CTT’s technology and lead drugs were designed and developed by Dr. Berkman. His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (including the Small Business Innovation Research program), the Life Science Discovery Fund, and the Department of Defense.
