The Andy Hill Cancer Research Endowment (CARE), a public-private partnership that supports cancer research in Washington, announced today its second round of grant awards totaling $1.5 million to leading research scientists with the aim of advancing cancer research in the state. Individual grants of $500,000 were awarded to three new CARE Fund Distinguished Researchers.
The Andy Hill CARE Fund is pleased to share its Impact Report, highlighting the key start-up activities and immediate impacts of the CARE Fund through 2017, including the impressive first cohort of Distinguished Researcher grant award recipients. The report also outlines the CARE Fund’s continuing investment strategy in two funding areas, Distinguished Researcher recruitment and Breakthrough Research funding, and operating plan.
CARE announced today its first grant awards to recruit world-class researchers to cancer research organizations in the state. Five $500,000 grants will go to three different Washington institutions as part of the CARE Fund’s Distinguished Researchers program.
